In the run-up to the last school bell, the Almaty police have urged parents, teachers and graduates to observe safety measures during celebratory events.

Law enforcement officers paid particular attention to dangerous car trips, which often become part of graduation celebrations.

WHAT RISKS THE POLICE HIGHLIGHT

According to the Almaty police department, officers will be working in an enhanced mode during this period to ensure public order and the safety of minors.

As noted by the head of the Public Safety Department of the Almaty Police Department, Timur Nogaybayev, every year during the graduation period, situations are recorded where celebrations get out of control.

This refers to renting cottages, underage drinking, and also dangerous car trips and so-called "motorcades".

Particular alarm for the police is caused by cases where teenagers break traffic rules for spectacular photos and videos. Such actions, the police emphasise, can lead to serious consequences and tragedies.

WHAT MEASURES THEY ASK TO OBSERVE

The police emphasised that preventive measures alone from law enforcement agencies are not enough.

Parents were urged not to leave their children unsupervised, to prevent independent car trips, and to maintain constant contact with graduates during festive events.

Teachers were also urged to assist in preventing possible violations and to remind students of safety rules.
