Over 2,000 officials have been held accountable since the start of 2026

The Investigative Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that since the beginning of 2026, more than 2,000 officials have been brought to disciplinary responsibility on the recommendations of investigators, and over 500 others have been punished administratively for failing to take measures to eliminate the causes and conditions that facilitated the commission of crimes.

The former editor-in-chief of the publication ORDA, Gulnar Bazhkenova, has been charged under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan: for illegal entrepreneurship, dissemination of knowingly false information, and embezzlement of entrusted property on an especially large scale.

Gulnar Bazhkenova confirmed transfers of up to 20 million tenge per month through an individual enterprise for salary payments.

The document establishes the procedure for examining complaints, and also regulates the procedures for suspending activities and removing from the register. A key feature is the possibility of temporarily suspending the activities of a patent attorney already at the stage of receiving a complaint.

Service dogs of the border service have been put up for auction in the Kostanay region

On the "E-Qazyna" electronic trading portal, lots featuring service dogs from the Border Service Department of the National Security Committee (NSC) of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Kostanay region have been published. The animals have been classified as unused military property due to reaching the maximum service age. The auction is scheduled for 20 February 2026.
