In Pavlodar, employees of the city sanitary and epidemiological control department have complained about unsanitary conditions in their own building. According to them, the premises of the institution, which is supposed to maintain sanitary order, have been literally overrun by rats and pigeons.

In the court of Aktobe region, a case is being heard concerning the receipt and giving of bribes involving four employees of the education system.

The head of the Akmola region, Marat Akhmetzhanov, was asked whether Bolat Marzhikpayev and the family of Bolat Nazarbayev received land in Burabai through connections, as he had previously claimed. The akim gave an evasive answer: any citizen could have obtained plots illegally, not necessarily a high-ranking official, and it should be up to law enforcement agencies to investigate.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Aktobe Region prevented the unjustified expenditure of budget funds in the amount of over 3.2 billion tenge.

The state visit of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Russia was the main event of the year and proved to be substantial in scope. Over two days, full-scale negotiations took place, including participation in the 21st Forum of Interregional Cooperation. The key outcome was the signing of the Declaration on Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and Alliance between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as 13 agreements covering the economy, transport, energy, education and ecology.
