In Pavlodar, employees of the city department of sanitary and epidemiological control have complained about unsanitary conditions in their own building. According to them, the premises of the institution, which is supposed to monitor sanitary order, are literally overrun with rats and pigeons.
According to Ertistv.kz, a video confirming the complaints appeared on social networks. The footage shows traces of rodents and birds inside the administrative building.
According to the deputy head of the department of sanitary and epidemiological control, Askar Kulataev, the appearance of rats and mice is linked to the dilapidation of the building.
"As for the pigeons, they could have got inside during repair work, as the roof was partially open," he stated.
It has become known that the building was constructed in 1959, and during this time it has never undergone major repairs. Some rooms on the first and third floors are vacant, and the facade is in a dilapidated condition.
It is noted that in connection with the incident, the higher authority issued a warning to the head of the city department, Alexander Safyannikov.
