The Prosecutor's Office of the North Kazakhstan Region has restored the labour rights of more than three thousand workers.
According to the department's press service, employers in the Kyzylzhar district and Petropavlovsk allowed wage arrears for 553 workers totalling 103.7 million tenge, violating the requirements of Article 113 of the Labour Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the Esil and Ualikhanov districts, other violations were identified. There, 282 employees of educational institutions were not provided with personal protective equipment and special clothing, which contradicts Article 182 of the Labour Code. This concerned cotton gowns, gloves, aprons with fire-resistant impregnation, and other protective items.
As a result of the prosecutorial oversight measures taken, the wage arrears were fully repaid, and the workers received their special clothing. Those responsible were brought to justice as established by law.
In total, since the beginning of the year, the prosecutor's office of the North Kazakhstan Region has ensured the protection of the labour rights of 3,082 workers.
Let us recall that earlier it was reported that since the beginning of the year, state labour inspectors have identified wage arrears at 257 enterprises in the country. More than 3.7 thousand workers did not receive a total of over 1.4 billion tenge.
