State property was attempted to be sold at a price dozens of times lower in Pavlodar

Illegal auctions for the sale of state property in Pavlodar have been cancelled.

According to the press service of the Pavlodar regional prosecutor's office, the Department of State Property and Privatisation sold at auction a 2-storey property complex with 5 fuel and lubricant storage tanks and a land plot of 0.5 hectares. The transaction amount was 8.3 million tenge

At the same time, an expert assessment established that the actual value of the complex is tens of times higher than its sale price.

"Following the prosecutor's claim, the court declared the auction and subsequent purchase and sale agreements invalid. Measures are currently being taken to annul the owner's rights and return the property to state ownership", the statement reads.

It was previously reported that in 2008, the management of the state-owned utility company Igilik sold a production base to third parties for 270,000 tenge without organising a tender. The estimated value of the base was 30 million tenge

Furthermore, it became known that at the beginning of the year, a resident of the West Kazakhstan Region was transferred 2 large land plots with a total area of 40 hectares into private ownership. Their purchase price was found to be extremely undervalued, amounting to only 765,000 tenge. The actual cadastral value of the land plots was 119.8 million tenge.
