The Inter-district Criminal Court of Astana has passed a sentence on the accountants of one of the city's schools.
According to the press service of the capital's courts, they were accused of embezzling entrusted property, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, using their official position (Article 189, Part 3, Clause 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
"Zh., being the chief accountant of the school, and A., an accountant at the same school, by prior conspiracy and using their official position, between January 2021 and April 2023 illegally transferred funds in the form of wages to their bank accounts", the statement says.
As a result, the defendants caused property damage to the school amounting to more than 10 million tenge.
The court found the former accountants guilty and sentenced them to 3 years of restriction of liberty, with a ban on holding positions related to financial responsibility for a period of 6 years. The damage has been fully compensated.
