The capital's prosecutor's office uncovered the embezzlement of budget funds following an inspection at a school.

According to the department's press service, the perpetrators had been transferring salaries and bonuses to non-existent employees for 7 years.

It is reported that the total amount of damage to the state amounted to more than 130 million tenge. During the investigation, the school employees fully admitted their guilt.

Ultimately, the court found them guilty and sentenced each to 7 years' imprisonment. The convicted individuals were also ordered to pay compensation for the material damage caused to the state.

Recall that earlier it was reported that in the Kyzylorda region, the head of the State Institution "Education Department of Zhanakorgan District" B. Ibragimova, the chief accountant of the State Institution K. Ayazbayeva, and the accountants of 24 schools were found guilty of embezzling more than 1 billion tenge.

At that time, the court sentenced the head and chief accountant of the institution to 8 years' imprisonment, and one of the school accountants to 7 years' imprisonment, with a suspension of the sentence for a period of 5 years due to having a young dependent child.
