At the «Syrym» veterinary control post, officers of the relevant service prevented an attempt to illegally import 20 tonnes of poultry meat into Kazakhstan.
According to official data, inspectors stopped a lorry travelling from the Samara Region of the Russian Federation to the Kyzylorda Region for mandatory inspection.
The check revealed a key violation: the poultry meat producer is not listed in the EAEU Register of Producers authorised to export animal products to Kazakhstan.
Due to non-compliance with veterinary and sanitary standards, the cargo and the vehicle were sent back to the country of departure. An administrative report was drawn up against the driver, and a fine was imposed.
Recall that the editorial team of FBRK previously published investigations into possible schemes for smuggling livestock under the guise of transit and corruption in veterinary control — from fictitious examinations to illegal trade in the meat of protected animals.
