Kazakhstan has overtaken Russia and China in GDP per capita
According to data from the International Monetary Fund, Kazakhstan has taken the leading position in GDP per capita among the CIS countries and Central Asia, ahead of Russia and China. The figure stood at $14,770 per person in 2025. The growth is attributed to raw material exports, investment and macroeconomic stability, although in terms of the rate of increase over a longer period, a number of Transcaucasian countries show higher momentum.
