In the Korgalzhyn district of the Akmola region, near the village of Sabyndy, a dam breach occurred at the "Shoptykol" reservoir. Water has spread across the fields and is crossing a section of the "Astana – Korgalzhyn" highway, although traffic is still moving. Emergency services, local authorities, and road maintenance teams are on site, with around 170 people and 43 units of equipment deployed. According to the local administration, there is no threat of flooding to populated areas.
