A Kazakhstani refinery plans to process Russian oil in the West Kazakhstan region.

The oil refinery (ORP) of JSC "Kondensat" in the West Kazakhstan Region (WKR) has agreed to process Russian oil. Up to 30% of the petrol and diesel fuel produced will remain in Kazakhstan, with the remainder being sent to Russia.

HOW THE PRODUCED FUEL WILL BE DISTRIBUTED

According to Minister of Energy Yerlan Akkenzhenov, the ministry has received an official request from the Russian Ministry of Energy to load the plant with Russian oil.

The ban on the movement of electric scooters on pavements has come into force in Kazakhstan

The Ministry of Energy is using a Unified Digital Platform with elements of artificial intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics to monitor the movement of coal ahead of the upcoming heating season. The system tracks fuel deliveries and automatically identifies risks of shortages and deviations from approved schedules.

Kazakhstan has been placed on a US list regarding risks of circumventing tariffs on goods from China.

The US administration has claimed there is an alleged global scheme under which goods of Chinese origin could be routed to the United States via third countries to circumvent American tariffs. Kazakhstan was among the countries included in the published list of states at risk of involvement in such schemes.

The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation stated that it had forecast the risk of drought and water shortage in the Zhambyl Region in advance.
