Tajikistan's security services have reported the deaths of two Afghan citizens on the border.

Two citizens of Afghanistan have died as a result of an armed clash on the Tajik-Afghan border. The State Committee for National Security (SCNS) of Tajikistan reported that the men crossed the border illegally and, according to the agency, were involved in drug smuggling.

An oil and gas enterprise in Mangistau is being inspected after violations were identified.

The criminal case into the death of 13-year-old Dinmukhamed during a kokpar game in the Tselinograd district of the Akmola region was closed on 29 July 2026. The teenager's family disagrees with the decision and demands that the investigation be resumed. The boy died on 26 May after sustaining severe injuries during the game.
