Passenger Ablay Baitenov filed a lawsuit against the airline FlyArystan following an incident on 9 July at Shymkent airport. According to him, passengers were held on board the aircraft for about 45 minutes with the doors closed and no working air conditioning, at an air temperature of +36.2°C.
WHAT HAPPENED ON BOARD
According to the author of a post on Threads, passengers were boarded at around 17:00, after which they remained inside for almost 45 minutes. The man links what happened to a possible malfunction of the air conditioning system.
According to the passenger, people were then taken back to the airport, where they spent about another hour. Baitenov claims that one of the passengers fell unwell and required assistance.

To confirm the air temperature, Baitenov published a response from Kazhydromet. According to data from the Shymkent weather station, on 9 July at 17:00 the temperature was +36.2°C, and by 20:00 — +36°C.
The passenger also said that he intends to present his smartphone and video recordings of the incident to the court.
WHAT THE PASSENGER SAYS ABOUT THE LAWSUIT
Baitenov claims that the carrier's position in court amounts to the assertion that what happened was not a violation and that "these things happen".
The man also stated that he had previously won court cases involving air carriers.
The hearing on the passenger's lawsuit against FlyArystan is scheduled for 20 October. Baitenov intends to present video recordings and air temperature data in court.

After an inquiry by the FBRK, JSC "SCAT Airline" acknowledged that during the flight an uncomfortable temperature regime could have been observed in one of the areas of the passenger cabin. The carrier stated that the situation did not affect flight safety, and that after arrival specialists inspected the aircraft and carried out the necessary work. The airline did not disclose the cause of the stuffiness at the time.
