Kazakh singer Rakhat Turklykhanov, nephew of wrestler and politician Daulet Turklykhanov, has once again found himself at the centre of a scandal following a family conflict in Almaty. Police brought the parties involved to the station for investigation, and an administrative report was filed against the artist.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to information from Telegram channel 'kriminal_kazakhstan', Rakhat Turklykhanov was taken to the police on suspicion of using physical force against his wife.
The editorial team of Qumash contacted the Almaty Police Department (PD) for clarification.
Police reported that the conflict occurred in the Medeu District of the city. Following a call, officers attended the scene and brought the parties involved to the district police station.
According to police, the woman initially stated that physical force had been used against her. However, she later denied the assault and only filed a complaint regarding the family dispute.
Following the investigation, an administrative report was filed against the man under Article 73, Part 1 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (“Unlawful actions in the sphere of family and domestic relations”).
PREVIOUS SCANDALS
The publication notes that this is not the first such incident. Rakhat Turklykhanov has previously been held administratively liable several times for similar cases.
In one such instance, the court sentenced the singer to 10 days of administrative detention. After that incident, the artist recorded a video message, but the post was later deleted.
