The trial of the former deputy akim of the East Kazakhstan Region (EKR), Zhaksylyk Omar, continues in Ust-Kamenogorsk. The state prosecutor has requested a six-year prison sentence for him.
WHAT THE PROSECUTOR REQUESTED
As reported by the publication YK-news.kz, the prosecutor asked the court to take into account mitigating circumstances. In particular, it was noted that Zhaksylyk Omar has no previous convictions and is the father of seven children.
At the same time, the state prosecutor noted the presence of an aggravating circumstance — a violation of the oath of a civil servant.
As a result, the prosecutor requested 6 years in prison with a ban on holding positions in the civil service and the quasi-public sector.
At the first court hearing, the defendant fully admitted his guilt in a case of fraud and bribery.
The trial continues, and a final decision has not yet been issued by the court.
