The Mangistau Region Prosecutor’s Office has uncovered a pharmacy operating without a licence. Its owners were storing expired medicinal products ‘Tropicamide’ and selling them without a prescription.

Between the settlement of Zhanaarka and the town of Karazhal, the deaths of 23 horses were recorded; these horses had no identification numbers and were not registered in the ISZh. In the Zhanaarka district, 44 dead horses without identification numbers were found.

The supply of foreign railway carriages masquerading as domestic ones has been common practice in Kazakhstan for several years now. Often, when officials refer to "domestic production," they mean the Kazakhstani assembly of foreign carriage kits.

Anti-Corruption Service reports that the former deputy minister of culture and sport has been detained on suspicion of committing a serious corruption offence.
