Victims of the flooding will be granted a deferral on taxes and payments

The State Revenue Committee has prepared an order "On establishing a different procedure for regulating tax administration for persons affected by floods in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan." 

As reported by press.kz, the order was published on the website "Open NPA" until 29 April 2024. According to it, Kazakhstani citizens affected by floods will be granted a deferral until 1 July on all mandatory payments to the budget, as well as social payments, falling due from 1 March to 30 June 2024. The submission of tax reports will also be postponed to 1 July 2024.

"The adoption of security for the fulfilment of tax obligations not fulfilled on time and measures for the enforced collection of tax arrears will be suspended until 1 July 2024. The deadlines for fulfilling notices to eliminate violations identified by state revenue authorities based on the results of desk-based control, falling due between 1 March and 30 June 2024, will be extended until 1 July 2024," the statement says.

At the same time, the scheduling of tax audits will be suspended until 1 July 2024. Also, from 1 March to 1 July 2024, the accrual of penalties for tax obligations not fulfilled on time will be halted.
