The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan through the Committee of Roads has temporarily suspended toll collection on certain sections of toll motorways. The decision is linked to the discovery of defects that could affect the safety and smooth flow of traffic.

A joint commission involving representatives of the National Operator, the RSE "National Centre for Road Asset Quality" and LLP "KAZ-Service" conducted inspections of 14 toll sections of republican-level motorways. During the inspections, defects in the road surface were identified.

Consequently, toll collection on these sections has been suspended from 29 January 2026 and will continue until all violations are completely resolved.
