The Prosecutor General's Office extradited a citizen of Kazakhstan from Russia to face criminal prosecution for committing violent acts of a sexual nature against a minor.
According to the press service of the agency, last November in the Kostanay region, the offender came to the apartment of his friends.
While alone with their son, knowing his age and mental illness, the man committed violent acts of a sexual nature against him.
After committing the crime, the suspect left the country, and as a result, he was placed on an international wanted list.
Last year, he was detained in the Chelyabinsk region (Russia) and, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, was extradited to his homeland. The individual is currently in a pre-trial detention centre.
For this crime, he faces a punishment of imprisonment for a term of 15 to 17 years with a lifelong ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities.
Recall, earlier, employees of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM) and the embassy in the United Arab Emirates extradited from Dubai a citizen of Kazakhstan wanted for the illegal trade of cryptocurrency worth 400 million tenge.
