A state of local technical emergency may be declared in the Ili district of the Almaty region due to a burst in the utility networks.
The relevant draft decision was published for online discussion on the «Open NLA» website.
As it became known, sewer and water pipes burst in the village of Otegen Batyr.
According to Tengrinews.kz, this happened due to a rise in groundwater beneath a building located on Battalkhanov Street.
«As a result of the rise in groundwater, which led to the rupture of the sewer pipe and water supply in the basement of the administrative building, there have been interruptions in water supply and the suspension of the sewer network. These circumstances negatively affect the daily lives of residents in nearby houses and the functioning of administrative buildings. In connection with this incident, a commission inspection was carried out to assess the consequences and determine the necessary measures to eliminate the problems that have arisen», reported the akimat of the Ili district.
Meanwhile, a decision by the akim on a full technical inspection of the building by geologists and hydrogeologists was published on the «Open NLA» website a few days ago.
Their recommendations are expected to determine the further course of action regarding the problematic building.
It is also reported that the deputy akim of the Ili district, Askar Kurmangaliyev, will lead the emergency response.
