A criminal case has been opened under the article "Incitement to Suicide" following the death of a serviceman in the Ayagoz garrison.
According to Informburo.kz, this was reported by the head of the department of educational and ideological work of the Ministry of Defence, Tleukhan Baskhozhayev, at a briefing at the SCC.
"This incident did occur. The serviceman was a conscript for two years, an officer. On 6 September, he was added to the unit's roster. He held a position in the financial service, not related to field exercises. He received all relocation compensation and all of his money. Yesterday (19 September), he spoke with his father and did not complain about his service," Baskhozhayev said.
Earlier, the press service of the Ayagoz garrison reported the discovery of the officer's body in the apartment where he lived during non-service hours. According to a preliminary version, he committed suicide.
