The Anti-Corruption Service for Astana has exposed the heads of the RSE on REM "Enbek" of the Committee of the Criminal Executive System (CCES) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for receiving bribes.
According to the press service of the department, the deputy general director and his subordinate, the head of the construction department, are suspected of receiving bribes from entrepreneurs for concluding public procurement contracts, signing certificates of completed works, and making payments for them.
By court order, the suspects have been taken into custody.
It is worth recalling that in August 2024, in the Ulytau region, servicemen and employees of the CCES were convicted for using torture. The head of the institution and his deputy were each sentenced to 6.6 years in prison. Five employees of the institution and four servicemen received sentences of from 4 to 4.5 years in prison.
