Police are searching for those spreading the fake news about planned explosions in schools in Aktobe.

Fake information is being spread on social media about alleged imminent explosions at schools in Aktobe. The police have stated that the information is false and have urged citizens not to trust such messages.

According to the press service of the Aktobe region police department, officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the article concerning knowingly false reports of an act of terrorism.

The department is conducting operational measures to identify the individuals who spread the false information.

"The suspects will be identified shortly and held accountable in accordance with the country's legislation," the statement said.

Law enforcement agencies have also strengthened security measures in educational institutions. It was noted that special attention has been paid to the functioning of video surveillance systems and increasing the number of police patrols near schools.

The police have called on residents of the region not to panic and to verify information from official sources.

It will be recalled that in April, a report about a planted explosive device was received at School No. 8 in the city of Shchuchinsk, Akmola region. In an email sent to the institution, an unknown person threatened to "send everyone to heaven".

At that time, police launched a pre-trial investigation into the fact of a knowingly false report of an act of terrorism.
