In schools of the Akmola region, they repeatedly poured out kompot and served leftover salad.

Employees of the department of sanitary-epidemiological control (SEC) of the Akmola region have identified instances of the reuse of leftover food and drinks in school canteens in the region.

According to the Telegram channel "Halyqstan", in a number of educational institutions, unfinished compote was poured back into glasses, and uneaten salad was distributed onto plates for re-serving.

Similar cases were identified during scheduled inspections at School-Gymnasium No. 11 and Comprehensive School No. 9 in Kokshetau.

The inspection also revealed that 35 school canteens in the Astrakhan, Atbasar, Ereymentau, Egindykol and Tselinograd districts, as well as in Kokshetau itself, are operating without permits.

Health officials consider the situation particularly alarming in 9 new comfortable schools, which still lack title documents, hindering the holding of tenders.

"In these schools, individual entrepreneurs have organised hot meals for more than 3,000 children, creating a high risk of threat to children's health, including the occurrence of food poisoning", the department noted.

Despite current legislation, entities without sanitary-epidemiological conclusions are participating in school meal tenders.

For the identified violations — including the use of food and drink leftovers — administrative fines were imposed on those responsible under Part 1 of Article 425 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Violation of the requirements of legislation in the field of sanitary-epidemiological welfare of the population").

Recall that earlier in seven districts of the Almaty region, cases of violence, extortion, bullying and inappropriate behaviour by teachers, including sexual misconduct, were identified in schools.
