Metropolitan residents are being alarmed by messages in a Telegram channel about alleged terrorist attacks in schools. On the channel "Astana Horror", malefactors have published photos of weapons and local schools, threatening violence against children.
The police have already checked the schools, stating that the information being spread is a fake. Law enforcement officers are asking residents to remain calm, not to succumb to provocation, and to trust only official information.
The press service of the police department reminds that criminal liability is provided for spreading knowingly false messages. It is noted that work is underway to identify the anonymous individual.
Meanwhile, the Astanovka98 channel has found that the threat texts published in the group completely match the text of messages that were spread in Saratov in January of this year. Only the name of the region has been changed.
It is worth noting that the channel has not been blocked; the hooligans are still publishing terrifying messages and fake news bulletins. In search of "accomplices", they have posted phone numbers, one of which, according to the FBRC, belongs to a certain "Asanali Ushenik Qtt".
