The Anti-Corruption Service of Shymkent has completed a pre-trial investigation into the acting head of the city department of the committee for labour and social protection.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Service, he is accused of receiving bribes totalling 850,000 tenge from parents of children with disabilities. The bribes were intended to secure the approval of their disability groups.
The bribes were handed over through the mediation of a nurse from one of the city's clinics. The accused have now been brought to trial.
Recall that earlier in the Atyrau region, a sentence was passed against the director of the State Institution 'Centre for Special Social Services for Adults No. 2' G. Zhalekenova and accountant A. Shmidova. They were found guilty of embezzling budget funds amounting to more than 73 million tenge.
