The executive bodies have fulfilled the 2024 plan ahead of schedule, returning more than 2 million hectares of land to state ownership.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, since the beginning of the year, the land resources management committee has conducted more than 1,748 inspections across an area of 2.8 million hectares.
As a result of the inspections, 1,342 orders were issued to eliminate violations of land legislation on an area of 2.2 million hectares.
It has become known that, based on previously issued orders, 311,300 hectares of agricultural land have already begun to be cultivated. Legal proceedings are underway to seize unused land covering an area of 200,400 hectares.
"As part of state control over the legality of decisions made by the Local Executive Bodies (LEB), 875 illegal decisions regarding the provision of agricultural land covering an area of 368,500 hectares were identified, of which 84 decisions have already been overturned. The main violations are related to the circumvention of competitive procedures and the illegal distribution of public pastures," the statement said.
Recall that in June, it became known that this year prosecutors in the Almaty region returned to state ownership 155 plots of unused land covering an area of 12,500 hectares and valued at 2.5 billion tenge.
In August, it was reported that in the Aktobe region, agricultural land plots covering an area of 30,000 hectares were returned to state ownership.
In early September, during a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin stated that this year, out of the planned 2 million hectares, 1.3 million hectares of unused or illegally allocated agricultural land had been returned to the state.
Later, in the Kostanay region, a land plot covering an area of 15 hectares with an estimated value of more than 254 million tenge was returned to the state.
