In Almaty, a long-unused plot of land measuring 0.56 hectares has been returned to the state.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the plot is located in the Besagash rural district of the Medeu district.
The land was originally intended for the construction of a service station, car wash, petrol station and hotel.
"During the inspection, it was established that this plot was not used for its intended purpose and was in a neglected state. The department filed a lawsuit in court for its seizure", the statement said.
As a result, the Almaty court fully upheld the department's claim.
Recall that at the beginning of September, during a government meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Serik Zhumangarin stated that this year, out of the planned 2 million hectares, 1.3 million hectares of unused or illegally issued agricultural land had been returned to the state.
Later, in the Kostanay region, a land plot measuring 15 hectares, with an estimated value of more than 254 million tenge, was returned to the state.
In August, it was reported that in the Aktobe region, agricultural land plots measuring 30 thousand hectares were returned to state ownership.
In June, it became known that this year prosecutors in the Almaty region returned 155 plots of unused land, measuring 12.5 thousand hectares and worth 2.5 billion tenge, to state ownership.
