The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market (ARDFM) has fined JSC "Subsidiary Bank 'Kazakhstan-Ziraat International Bank'" (KZI Bank) for repeated violations of banking legislation requirements within one year.
WHAT WAS VIOLATED
As reported by the portal Finratings.kz citing the ARDFM, the bank committed repeated violations of prudential norms.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Prudential norms are economic restrictions established by the ARDFM for financial organisations, including branches of non-resident banks, to ensure their financial stability and protect the interests of consumers.
HOW THEY WERE PUNISHED
KZI Bank has been held administratively liable under Part 4 of Article 213 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan ("Violation of banking legislation requirements of the Republic of Kazakhstan"). The fine amounts to 1 million 297 thousand 500 tenge.
Finratings.kz reminds that in December 2025 KZI Bank was already fined 9.6 million tenge for violating financial monitoring rules.
