The Specialised Administrative Offences Court of Taraz has considered a case against the regional branch of JSC «NC «KazAvtoZhol» regarding a failure to comply with an order to rectify deficiencies on a national highway.
According to the press service of the courts of Zhambyl Region, in February 2025, a traffic police inspector inspected the technical condition of a section of the «Almaty-Tashkent-Termez-2» highway and identified 13 violations in the area of road safety. The inspector issued an order to rectify them, but the violations were disregarded.
In court, a representative of the branch disagreed with the report and requested that the proceedings be dismissed. He explained that the contractor bears full responsibility, and that the JSC is supposedly not the subject of the offence.
In turn, the traffic police inspector who participated in the court hearing explained that numerous complaints had been received from drivers about this section, and that road traffic accidents frequently occurred there.
Ultimately, the court found the «KazAvtoZhol» branch guilty and imposed a fine of 500 MCI (1.9 million tenge) without suspending its permit or ceasing certain types of activities. The court's decision has entered into force.
Recall that earlier in the Pavlodar and Turkestan regions, heaving of concrete road sections was recorded. This caused a wave of criticism on social media, but the company «KazAvtoZhol» explained that the cause was the heat, not poor-quality construction.
