In Kyrgyzstan, the mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Dzhunushaliev, has signed a document prohibiting city hall staff and municipal employees from using their personal cars. But not entirely or always, only on Tuesdays and Thursdays

According to Ulysmedia.kz, under this decree, on these days officials must travel around the city exclusively on public transport and monitor drivers' compliance with hygiene standards, quality of service, and payment methods.

"Use of official cars is only permitted for business purposes. For off-site meetings, the city hall's transport and road-transport infrastructure development department must organise transport", the statement reads.

It also reports that heads of departmental and territorial divisions of the city hall, municipal enterprises, and institutions are obliged to submit a report on their work by the 25th of each month.
