The Akim of the Mangystau region Nurdaulet Kilybai announced that on the site of the former presidential residence in Aktau, plans are to build a stadium, a large mosque, and children's playgrounds.
According to Lada.kz, in addition to a stadium with 10,000 seats, on a plot of land covering 225 hectares on the coast of the Caspian Sea, they intend to build facilities that promote the development of small and medium-sized businesses.
"The territory has already been included in the city's master plan, and stages of coordination and preparation for state expert examination are underway. The land plot, located in the 'Samal' microdistrict, was returned to state ownership in the summer of 2023. Previously, the estimated value of the territory was about one billion tenge," the Akim reported.
Recall that in August of last year, it was reported that the building previously used as a presidential residence in Aktau could be adapted for children's needs. It was noted that the estimated value of the plot is 1 billion tenge.
In March of the same year, it became known that the presidential residence in the Kostanay region would become a rehabilitation centre. It is expected that children with psychoneurological pathologies and disorders of the musculoskeletal system will undergo treatment at the centre.
