Journalists have drawn attention to large plots of land located next to a state residence at the entrance to Astana from the Karaganda highway. According to the cadastral map, the residence belongs to the Presidential Property Management Directorate of the Republic of Kazakhstan, while the adjoining lands belong to companies linked to Timur Kulibayev.
According to ORDA, the plot has the status of a state residence, previously associated with ex-president Nursultan Nazarbayev. Whether he remained the user of the residence after leaving the post of head of state, or whether the property was transferred to a new owner, is unclear.
However, it has become known that adjacent to the residence is a plot of about 32 hectares with a golf club located on it. The land is owned by Timur Kulibayev's company - LLP "Kipros". The cadastral value of this plot is 213 million tenge.
It turns out that Kulibayev's interest in golf is not limited to one project. LLP "Kipros" is also the owner of LLP "Golf Club Astana" — a popular capital city club where concerts and festivals are regularly held. This facility occupies a plot of 82 hectares next to the Saizhai residential area.
On the adjacent territory there are about a dozen houses surrounded by a lake. The average market value of one such house, according to estate agents, is 700–800 million tenge.
In addition, nearby there is a plot of 8 hectares with a large mansion, a football pitch and a basketball court.
Also located there is another small house with a plot, which, according to the cadastral map, belongs to LLP "Oil Real Estate". However, in March 2022, the Astana Akimat issued LLP "Kipros" permission to demolish the building at that address.
It is noted that next to the golf club and the Saizhai residential area is a mansion registered in the name of the "Kazakhmys" corporation.
It was previously reported that in the Almaty district of Astana, on the bank of the Ishim River, a residence with an area of 8,000 m² is being built, and the land plot of 640 ares also belongs to Kulibayev's company - LLP "Kipros".
