The court of Turkestan has convicted the head of the State Municipal Enterprise "Veterinary Service" of the regional veterinary administration, B. Begmanov.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Agency, he was found guilty of abuse of official authority. It is reported that the official collected 5.5 million tenge from 115 employees of district veterinary services, which they had received as bonuses, and misappropriated them.
The court found Begmanov guilty and sentenced him to a restriction of liberty for a term of 3 years and 6 months, with a lifelong ban on holding positions in the civil service and quasi-public sector entities. The court ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
Recall that in March, it was reported that in the Kostanay region, 7 veterinary doctors were suspected of document forgery, entering false information into the animal registration information system, and receiving illegal remuneration.
In June, the District Court No. 2 of the Medeu District of Almaty pronounced a sentence on the director of the State Municipal Enterprise "City Veterinary Service," M. Zhunusov, and a public procurement specialist of the same enterprise, R. Zhaparkhan. They were found guilty of embezzling budget funds intended for the purchase of test systems for detecting plague among animals, which were never delivered.
