In the East Kazakhstan Region, a conflict has erupted between the teachers of School No. 11 in the city of Ridder and the head of the city's education department, Batyrbek Abiyev. The teachers have recorded a collective video address to the Minister of Education, Zholdas Suleimenova, the Akim of the East Kazakhstan Region, Nurymbet Saktaganov, and the Akim of Ridder, Duman Rakhmetkaliyev.
According to the Telegram channel "HALYQSTAN", the teachers stated that they are no longer willing to tolerate psychological pressure, systematic threats, and humiliation. They claim that on Abiyev's initiative, the school has already undergone five inspections in the last two months, each accompanied by unfounded complaints against the staff.
The teachers noted that they refuse to conduct lessons until Abiyev's actions receive a legal assessment and they are guaranteed safe, respectful working conditions.
The address also states that the conflict has been ongoing for a long time and escalated due to his daughter, who works at the same school. According to staff, Abiyev repeatedly threatened disciplinary action and publicly humiliated the teachers.
The East Kazakhstan Region Education Department reported that a special working group has been established to investigate all the circumstances.
"Currently, the working group is operating in the city of Ridder. All teachers are at work, and the educational process is proceeding as normal. The educational process is organised without interruptions," the department noted.
As reported by the department, detailed information will be provided later.
