Нарушения в школах Атырауской области привели к увольнениям шести сотрудников

In the Atyrau Region, following a disciplinary investigation, 6 employees in the education sector have been dismissed, and a further 24 individuals have been held accountable. Violations were identified in a number of schools in the region, indicating problems with internal control within educational institutions.

WHAT WAS FOUND IN THE SCHOOLS

According to AtyrauPress, the results of the inspection of educational institutions were reviewed at an expanded meeting of the Coordination Council for Ensuring Legality, Law and Order, and Combating Crime.

The inspection results were reported by Deputy Head of the Regional Police Department, Yerlan Bigambayev. According to him, the violations were a consequence of the improper performance of duties by the administrations of educational institutions and private security services.

He noted that school principals do not ensure proper control over compliance with requirements during public procurement.

WHAT MEASURES HAVE BEEN TAKEN

The materials were reviewed by a disciplinary commission. The outcomes were:

  • 6 employees were dismissed from their positions;
  • 24 employees received various disciplinary sanctions.

The specific positions and institutions where the individuals brought to account worked are not specified in the materials.

WHAT MEASURES ARE BEING PROPOSED

During the discussion, it was proposed to strengthen the prevention of juvenile delinquency. In particular, the introduction of a mentor position for moral and legal education, based on the experience of the Zhetysu Region, is being considered.

At the time of the meeting, this practice was only in place in three schools in the region. According to Yerlan Bigambayev, it needs to be extended to all educational organisations in the region.

HOW CONTROL WILL BE STRENGTHENED

The meeting participants also discussed the introduction of modern technologies. Due to the difficulty of simultaneously monitoring all CCTV cameras, the use of artificial intelligence systems was proposed.

As a pilot project, such systems have already been installed at School No. 42 in the city of Atyrau and an agricultural college. They are currently undergoing testing.
