In Rudny, the head of the water fund state control department of the Tobol-Torgai inspection, Sergei Mukashev, was convicted for a bribe of 1.1 million tenge, which was given to him by the chairman of the dacha cooperative, Anatoly Dorkin.
According to the Telegram channel "HALYQSTAN", Mukashev tried to profit from the damage caused by the flood.
It is reported that, since he knew that the water meters in the dacha community had become unusable after the flooding, Mukashev suggested to Dorkin a scheme that would save the latter from having to replace them.
"In return, Dorkin was to receive documents for the verification of the meters. This would have saved him from the need to install new meters", the message states.
The court sentenced Mukashev to a fine of 33.3 million tenge.
If the convicted person does not pay the fine within 10 days, he will be taken into custody, and the sentence will be commuted to imprisonment.
Recall that earlier, following an internal audit, the director of the branch of RSE "Kazvodkhoz" in the Zhambyl region and the head of the Asa production site were dismissed from their positions.
In July, the director of the branch and the head of the Shu-Talas Basin Inspection of the Zhambyl region were brought to disciplinary responsibility.
Shortly before this, an audit conducted in the region revealed about 10 cases of illegal use of water resources, as well as violations in contracts concluded with farmers for the supply of irrigation water.
