The Taraz court has considered the case of the head of the Scientific and Practical Centre of Physical Culture Zhartybaev A. and a methodologist from the same institution Moilauov M.
According to the press service of the Anti-Corruption Service, they were found guilty of embezzling budget funds. The investigation established that the suspects appropriated travel expenses allocated for participation in national school competitions.

Moilauov was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months of restriction of liberty with a ban on holding positions in state institutions related to financial activities for up to 3 years. The court decision has not yet entered into legal force.
Recall that in June it became known that the chief accountant of the Shymkent Medical and Physical Education Dispensary of the city department of physical culture and sports had been issuing unjustifiably inflated salaries to herself and a number of employees. Over two years, the institution's employees were overpaid 22,218,531 tenge.
In September in Astana, a former head of the RSE "Directorate for Sports Development," Samat Yergaliev, was convicted for abuse of official powers. The damage from his actions amounted to 113 million tenge.
Later, prosecutors uncovered embezzlement during a review of the legality of spending budget funds at the Centre for National Sports of the Mangystau Region. It was reported that from 2018 to 2023, the chief accountant of the institution illegally appropriated budget funds totalling 117 million tenge.
