In the Aktobe court, a criminal case was heard against two former directors of children's and youth sports schools (CYSS), who were found guilty of embezzling funds from the illegal rental of a sports facility.
According to the Telegram channel "Halyqstan", the case involves the ex-director of the CYSS for football, Maksat Auelbayev, and his subordinate Kairat Dilmanov, who was responsible for the institution's sports facilities.
According to the materials of the criminal case, between 2022 and 2024, illegal commercial activity was carried out on the basis of the CYSS football field. Outside of working hours, the sports facility was rented out to private individuals, but the rental funds were not deposited into the institution's account; instead, they were embezzled by the defendants in the case.
As the court established, tenants paid Kairat Dilmanov 10,000 tenge per hour of play. He kept part of the funds for himself and gave another part to Auelbayev. After Dilmanov was appointed director of another sports school, the rental money continued to be transferred to him.
The total amount of illegal income exceeded 11 million tenge. The accused used part of these funds for personal purposes; in addition, Auelbayev placed bets.
Before the start of the trial, both accused fully compensated for the damage caused. This was recognised by the court as a mitigating circumstance, along with their sincere confession of guilt.
As a result, Court No. 2 of Aktobe found Maksat Auelbayev guilty of causing property damage through deception or abuse of trust and sentenced him to 2 years of restriction of liberty. Kairat Dilmanov received 2 years and 6 months of restriction of liberty under the same article.
Furthermore, they were banned from holding positions in the civil service for three years.
