The prosecutor's office of the Turksib district of Almaty has uncovered illegal actions by officials of the akimat related to inspections of entrepreneurs.
According to the department's press service, during a price monitoring of socially significant food products (SSFP), initiated on the instruction of the deputy mayor of the city, employees of district akimats unlawfully demanded documents from entrepreneurs.
“Such actions contradict the law, as the inspectors had no legal grounds to demand documentation from businesses”, the department noted.
As a result, six officials of district akimat offices were brought to administrative responsibility and fined 500 MCI (1,966,000 tenge).
The deputy mayor of Almaty was ordered to pay a fine of 100 MCI (393,200 tenge). All fines have now been paid in a simplified manner.
Recall that earlier, akims of nine rural districts of the North Kazakhstan region were fined for unremoved landfills.
