Information has spread online that employees of the KNSC of Zhambyl Region have detained the deputy head of the regional department of justice, Bauyrzhan Shamgunov.
According to ORDA, he is suspected of accepting a bribe from private bailiffs who were found to have violations in their work.
It is reported that Shamgunov promised not to revoke their licences in exchange for money. Information about the amount of the bribe has not yet been disclosed.
The entire career of Bauyrzhan Shamgunov is connected with the Department of Justice of Zhambyl Region. The department's website states that he held a number of senior positions: he headed the department for intellectual property rights, the department for supporting private bailiffs, the department for enforcement proceedings, and the department for regulation and control over the activities of bailiffs.
Earlier, in Kostanay Region, the prosecutor of the city of Rudny, Murat Uspanov, was detained. It was reported that he is suspected of receiving a bribe of 20 million tenge to drop a criminal case.
