The Anti-Corruption Service, together with the National Security Committee, has detained the head of the capital construction department of the main directorate of military infrastructure of the Armed Forces on suspicion of corruption.
As reported by the official representative of the Anti-Corruption Service, Daniyar Bigaidarov, the military official is suspected of extorting a bribe from a representative of a subcontracting organisation.
The money was intended for the official in exchange for general patronage and assistance in signing the acceptance certificates for modular buildings for the needs of the Armed Forces.
It is reported that the court has chosen a pre-trial restraint measure of detention for the suspect.
