The Anti-Corruption Service intends to prevent corruption violations in the pricing of food products.

"During the off-season, the government is taking a number of measures aimed at curbing and stabilising prices for socially significant food products. This issue is particularly relevant for regions affected by floods," the agency's press service reported.

In this regard, the Agency's territorial divisions have been instructed to monitor these processes in order to prevent corruption risks.

"The anti-corruption service bodies will suppress any corruption offences, including those related to the creation of various unlawful schemes aimed at extracting illegal profits. Particular attention will be paid to corruption factors negatively affecting pricing, including the affiliation of parties, the creation of unjustified administrative barriers by the state apparatus, manipulations and abuses by unscrupulous market participants," the statement reads.

In turn, the head of the Anti-Corruption Agency emphasised the importance of this work and instructed that these issues be kept under special scrutiny.

At the same time, it became known that the Anti-Corruption Agency had worked out the possibility of direct supplies of agricultural goods by suppliers from Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

It is reported that goods will be supplied directly to the Kazakh market without intermediaries and resellers at the most affordable prices.
