The Ulytau Regional City Court of Zhezkazgan has sentenced the former accountant of Children's Music School No. 2 under the Education Department of the city of Satpayev. She was found guilty of embezzling budget funds.
According to the court's press service, from 2024 to 2025 the defendant illegally paid herself an inflated salary. In addition, she accrued wages for individuals who did not actually work at the educational institution. The damage caused by her actions exceeded 28 million tenge.
In court, the state prosecutor presented evidence of the defendant's guilt. Ultimately, the court found the woman guilty and sentenced her to 5 years and 4 months of imprisonment, along with a ban from engaging in accounting activities for the same period. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
