The Almaty Tourism Bureau has published an announcement for the procurement of services to organise press tours for 50 foreign bloggers. They plan to spend 89,285,710 tenge on this. The deadline for applications is 2 March.

The authorities want to invite bloggers from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Singapore, South Korea, China and Malaysia. According to the technical specification, they must be users of social networks: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok and Weibo.

Each of them must have no fewer than 300,000 subscribers, and their accounts must reach no fewer than 500,000 users. The press tour includes excursions to the city's iconic locations, after which the bloggers must post photos, reels, stories and other content.

The bloggers will be provided with return flights and accommodation in a 4-star or 5-star hotel. They will be given a comfortable car, two meals a day, and interpreters. They will also receive commemorative gifts and each will be paid a fee of $1,000.

According to Factcheck.kz, in October 2023 the Almaty Tourism Bureau published a similar announcement. At that time, the akimat invited 30 bloggers and spent 60 million tenge on the event. Otherwise, the technical specification does not differ from the upcoming procurement.
