The Akimat of the Bostandyk district of Almaty intends to spend 178.5 million tenge on preparations for the New Year. The corresponding lot has been posted on the public procurement website.
According to Kursiv.media, based on the documentation, 62.5 million tenge is planned to be allocated for decorating the grounds of the Atakent Business Cooperation Centre.

A 25-metre Christmas tree with a diameter of 12 metres, garlands, three photo zones and light sculptures will be installed here. These include a sphere-arch with the figures '2026' and a two-metre statue of a horse, which, according to the creators' concept, symbolises 'horses pulling a light sphere-arch, personifying the New Year'.
At the same time, 62.5 million tenge is planned to be allocated for decorating the First President's Park, where a Christmas tree, garlands and photo zones will also be installed.
Another 53.5 million tenge is expected to be spent on lighting for the district's main streets.
The application period runs from 24 September to 1 October. According to the public procurement portal, the Akimat of the Turksib district also intends to allocate the same amount for festive New Year decorations — 178.5 million tenge.
Recall that in December last year, it was reported that ahead of the New Year, almost all akimats allocated millions, and sometimes tens of millions of tenge, for festive city decorations.
Astana topped the list in terms of expenditure scale: about 700 million tenge was allocated for city decorations at the time. In Shymkent, 80 million was allocated for these purposes, in Aktau — 76 million, and in Uralsk — 28 million tenge.
