WHAT WERE THE RESULTS OF THE INSPECTIONS
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health, the results of the control measures were announced by Health Minister Akmaral Alnazarova during a meeting with the region's medical community.
As the head of the department noted, over the past two years, control measures at healthcare facilities in the Zhambyl region have been significantly strengthened. As a result of the inspections, 96 treatment rooms ceased operations, 56 of which were working without a licence. Furthermore, 135 dental clinics were subjected to inspection.
WHAT INSTRUCTIONS DID THE MINISTER GIVE
According to Akmaral Alnazarova, the number of complaints from the public in the region is growing. The majority of complaints relate to the quality and organisation of medical care in medical organisations.
The head of the Ministry of Health instructed that the work of primary healthcare organisations be strengthened in the early detection of oncological diseases, and that constant monitoring of cancer awareness be ensured.
Special attention was recommended to be paid to the quality and accessibility of diagnostic tests. In particular, this concerns improving the quality of colonoscopy examinations, expanding the use of faecal occult blood tests for the early detection of colorectal cancer, as well as improving the quality of Pap tests and mammography examinations.
WHAT MEASURES CONCERN TUBERCULOSIS PREVENTION
A separate block of instructions was dedicated to tuberculosis prevention. Specifically, the task was set to ensure 100% coverage of preventive treatment for children who have been in contact with tuberculosis patients.
The minister also drew attention to the need for informational and educational work among the population.

According to Akmaral Alnazarova, the key task of the healthcare system remains not only the development of infrastructure but also improving the quality and accessibility of medical care, especially at the primary care level.
