Public figure Bolat Bachzhanov claims that a river of sewage waste is flowing through the Burabay district of the Akmola region.
On his Instagram page, he reported that he had contacted the Department of Ecology, but they found no violations.
"A year has passed: the river has grown bigger. The district mayor is aware; we spoke with him," the message states.
Bachzhanov shared a video showing a stream of water resembling a river.
"In reality, this is sewage. A pipe has burst here. We filmed this video a year ago, but nothing has changed since then," he said.
In the following shots, the public figure shows that the "sewage river" flows out into the steppe and forms a small lake.
"Can you imagine, all the sewage from Burabay and the village of Zelyony Bor, everything that is drained from these hotels — it's all here," Bachzhanov noted.
It has come to light that, according to the project, the sewage should drain into special basins; however, according to the public figure, these facilities have been idle for about 10 years.
