ЕНПФ предупредил казахстанцев о новых схемах мошенничества

Depositors of the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) have been increasingly visiting the fund’s branches after receiving calls from unknown individuals who pose as employees of the organisation and claim that the recipient has unaccounted-for work experience. The callers offer to recalculate the pension to increase payments and ask for an SMS code.

HOW THE SCHEME WORKS

According to the UAPF, the fraudsters inform citizens of several years of work experience that supposedly were not included in the total service record for pension calculation. To gain trust, they give real addresses of the fund’s current branches and invite them to visit.

The unknown individuals then offer to book an electronic queue in advance for convenience. To do this, they ask the recipient to dictate the code received in an SMS message. The fund notes that some recipients have already disclosed such codes.

WHAT THE UAPF EMPHASISES

The fund reminded that UAPF employees do not request SMS codes, passwords, bank details, or other confidential information by phone, email, or via messengers.

The organisation also stressed that all fund services are provided free of charge, and pension payments are processed exclusively in accordance with the procedure established by law.

The UAPF specifically noted that knowledge of a person’s name, IIN, residential address, or place of work does not confirm the official status of the caller. The fund stated that such information could have been obtained from open sources.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR DATA

Citizens are advised not to disclose SMS codes or personal data to anyone, regardless of the circumstances.

If a suspicious call is received, the conversation should be ended immediately, especially if the caller asks for a code from a message. It is recommended to verify information

independently through official communication channels — call centres, apps, and websites.

If there are suspicions of illegal activity, the fund advises contacting the police.
